As someone who views the ocean as a second home, making art from it fuels my soul and motivates me to protect, educate, and learn about the world’s oceans. Whether it’s painting shells, surfboards that are no longer in use, working with sea glass and plastic pieces, and wood, and canvas boards, each one is sourced from Montauk, N.Y with lots of love.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I love creating it!

The first of the painted surfboard collection

Back in May 2025, I decided to start painting surfboards that couldn’t be repaired. My brother, David Carman gave me his old surfboard and after cleaning and painting it, the finished product is exactly as I pictured it. Each lily flower is hand painted with my unique signature the bottom of the board. The board is finished with a protective clear coat.
